Rogue or Warrior (End Game) Pls Help

#1
hello, I would like to know your guys opinion on this topic. Its something that has been talked about before but I would like to do into details and actually find prof on this topic both classes are good but I would like to know which can do the most dps on end game bosses
Warrior full dg ect , same with rogue lets assume both are well geared . some people would bet everything that warrior have more dps and they have gotten kills over other classes. other people would bet everything that rogues can do better.
yes we know that rogues have a little advantage on warriors cuz of our main hand proc and a little faster skills

now days I think warriors are a little to op with the ability to be the best tank in game , and in 5 mins be the best dps in game ?? that's broken but that's another topic,

Warriors for one thing are not op, versatility of roles is what this game needs and other classes need their support/DPS roles buffed accordingly.

Rogues are still the best DPS class in the game. They have by far the most useable DPS skills. They hit the speed cap, most skills are instant or near instant cast. I will let others dive into the nuts and bolts with math. Rogues just have less of a hindrance on gear than warriors, if warriors didn't have the setbacks they would probably be on par.

Warriors still have a bit of hindrance with gear boosts on DG aura and CG offhand. Useless stats on some pieces. Lack of potential divine damage with a lackluster divine skill and edl mainhand being a sword.

The thing it will come down to the most is gear and how well each person can perform swaps as well as what gear to use for each boss.

I agree with Wardon that warriors aren't necessarily stronger than other classes, but they are balanced better than the other classes. Rogues are generally the strongest dps class, but also like Wardon said, it mostly comes down to gear and the boss you are fighting.

I’m confused by this question. Are you asking which is the best dps? But then you mention tanks.

If it’s best dps well it depends on lots of things aside from armor. Such as access to the best gear and weps. If you can build your toon properly, if you have the best food. Also, top end dps warriors tend to use gele axes, ideally void, which would not have a slash lure as readily available as a rogue has pierce lure most of time.

If they are "equally" geared and the boss doesn't have a particular weakness (like Legacy Spider) them rogues are easily better dps. The weapon speed is usually what puts them over the top (dagger vs. sword/axe/hammer).
Michael Artisan - Warrior, Blake Artisan - Rogue, Ren Artisan - Ranger, Gabriel Artisan - Mage, Yaray (until VR let's me add Artisan to the name) - Druid

Rogues r better.

Better skills

Better offhand skill

And off course the proc

Full dg, half dg whatever if both equally geared rogues wud still win, if warriors use spears they miss out on rupture and proc, if warriors use axe they most times miss on a good lure and proc.

There is a chance with a slash lure but most times they still dont get killls

Rogues r just faster, the skills make up alot of dmg, rangwrs and warriors can double the dps dmg yet the rigue can still get kill

When I first started playing I was under the impression that all classes could perform two roles. Dps and Tank, or Dps and support. I was a little disappointed when I found out that it wasn't the case. I think the best balance would be that at a regular raid a support of each class would always increase the overall dps more than a straight dps (it wouldn't stack, one supp and one dps would likely be better than two support but it would encourage players to play support but still have mostly dps characters.) When I found out druid dps wasn't really a thing, and that rogue's support skills weren't that useful, and that rangers were just kind of stuck in the middle with ok support and ok dps I was a little disappointed.

It's not op to be versatile, it's something every class should have imo.

Honestly though, druid DPS is very good if there isn't another overcasting them. Rogues support role is also not that bad, expose is a very useful skill for raids and smoke bomb is also extremely useful, poison weapon is very good as a support rogue and can be cast on others. Warriors, druids, and rogues have the best versatility of any classes. Warriors I would say have the best but even then our DPS needs to be tweaked. Mages and rangers get kinda screwed as they don't have a very defined support/DPS role. Mages have a support and dps role but they are both lackluster. Rangers DPS role is there most prominent role but still needs some work, their support role is pretty obsolete and needs a buff.
