The in-game announcement does both. We're only restarting the server for routine maintenance. There's no changes being made to the game and no patch to download. It only affects the players currently online, and only for a brief period. Think of it as an opportunity to grab some water or stretch your thumbs!

The truth is even if it just a maintenance surely it is courteous to you tell you customers.

It doesn’t hurt to send out a tweet or put under announcements or Facebook feed.

Why would you at least do that.

No, an in-game announcement is 30 minutes before reset.
As actual players of this game, we plan hours ahead. People set alarms to attend resets or certain raids.

A much earlier notice would be appreciated.

Thank you for the reset, but as mentioned above we would appreciate a heads up (preferably also on a 3rd party platform) a day beforehand, rather than a couple of hours.
