What ever happened to mounted combat? For ages we were told that we couldn't have horse mounts because a "mounted combat system" was being developed for them. It was supposed to allow us to use weapons while on horseback/mounted it was also said that these mounts would have their own inventory and armor slots. Was this idea scrapped in favor of the current mounts?

You can hot swap a mount, run to where ever, hot swap weps, kill whatever it is, hot swap a mount, run to where ever ect.
This is just as good if not better, don't see a need for mounted combat.

Try animating a rogue on horseback using daggers to attack.

This was actually discussed recently.

It is something we would quite like to see in later updates once some actual Design time has been put into it.

So it may be something you see this year or the next.

Would you fight with weapons on or something?

Perhaps this could taken in a new direction.... In Lirs we have this pretty cool ocean port that currently isn't serving any purpose. What if in some future content that port was the gateway to a new ocean themed zone? Imagine if clans could acquire Viking or trade ships and had ship versus ship combat. Even single player boats such as row boats or small ships would be nice for fishing or leveling up on water leviathans, etc.. I imagine this would be a higher level zone and that clan ships would cost a fortune (30-? Million gold), but hey it would be a clan-owned and clan paid for item. If your guild had 100 people in it and each donated 400k... well you get the idea.
