Gele Armour

Was wondering how other clans are looking to gear their toons.

We're having problems deciding if warriors should get this armour or not since all of our end game warriors are tanks. Would you give the armour to rogues and rangers over casters?

Discuss.

Is there no class restriction on the doch gul drops? Thought I saw one green and another yellow. As far as gearing goes, I think it would be very beneficial give tanks the armor pieces with a defense boost, despite the lack of armor/Chaos resist. And rogues/Rangers with either full doch gul or a mix of doch/EDL depending on auras and survivabiltiy at bosses. Might be good, to test just how much dmg aoes will do to a player with low chaos resist. I imagine they will hurt pretty bad at gelebron/proteus.

if the quest requires gearing one class over another. I think it would be most beneficial to gear a dedicated lure Mage first. As this would impact raids more than increased tanking ability or dps. And then gear based on the boost from the armor. Defense pieces for warrior and attack pieces for ranger (preferably before rogues), and then attack pieces for rogue. Then again maybe I'm underestimating how this gear will affect heals.

@Havoc
Well for the armor, you need a class specific conflux + a pureness conflux(s).
So warrior needs red conflux and pureness conflux
rogue needs purple conflux and pureness conflux
ranger needs yellow conflux and pureness conflux,
you get the point.
so basically, you need to decide which class you want to use your pureness confluxes on

I think the armour is most effective for rangers, dex will help with attack and strgth/added heat dmg for physical damage. Not as good for warriors because of the low armour, but 2nd most important I would put would be mages, then rogues and druids. The armour is only really good for DPS druids, I could reach over 4k focus with armour of that capacity lol. :D

Or, you know, you could go with the 7k heals you would get with support Druids. Maybe 7k heals aren't that good on some worlds but we have a lack of them on mine. It would go well with a cd reduce item.

Id sacrifice for druids too if needed, all depends on which class u need to boost. Here most our warriors are DPS, while there are more or less 3 top tanks and 3 top DPS, not sure if tanks want it or not but if they find it useful then good. Id give to tanks if they can find a use for it end-game wise, if not then just boost the class u need to the most.
We personally only got gloves for rogue atm.

Hi, I'd like to put in my opinion (:

I'm still a nub, but the other day I was able to kill the iron scale 5* lizard only after I realized that his skills did chaos damage. Once I realized this, I put on my full warden in place of other stuff and was able to kill him -
I hear this new armor has zero chaos resists? If that's true won't you guys have a really hard time killing mobs with the chaos damage?

On some chaos bosses you can avoid all or nearly all damage. Mele have the least opportunity, mages next, followed by Rangers. Finally support Druids often stand the furthest away and are the same as Rangers or even less suceptiple to chaos damage. The set adds great stat points and 3500 outright heal points, with the right gear 8 or even 9k heals are possible. Since Druids are usually the least represented then it's a decent choice. With a full gele set and the right gear (silver web direct add rings, cd reduce like a void skull/necro charm) you would only need one Druid for any in game boss except possibly gelebron.

The set does add chaos resist through the aura which is 1600 chaos resist

No the set adds skill boosts and the description only states the pieces dont break aura, its anyones guess whether the set gives aura or not but judging by the stats probably not; none of the individual pieces have chaos resistance so why would the set give an aura?
