Mushroom sizes

Anyone else wonder how you would collect mushrooms the size of small chairs into your backpack? Seriously the size of them relative to the toons is roughly 1/4 to 1/3 and I have 100s on me. Where do I carry these "magic" mushrooms?
Also. Where's the select circle around the mushrooms to know which one im looking at?

That question applies for every item in the game. We don't even have a backpack and i doubt armour has pockets.
As for the circle... I never knew there was circles around items that could be picked up.

The real question is, if we don't have backpacks, where do we store them? 0.0

Im picturing the stomach aches from switching weapons and items by throwing them up then swallowing them over and over.
