I hit 500 with lure too, and DPS isnt a role, thus why this whole thread about inequality, also, theres no place that says rogues are meant to be top dps, they never were until carrow release, all other classes except druids could top rogues beforehand.

EDIT: Also, my Pummel most likely has higher max dmg than ur Quick Strike since theres a dmg gap between them, yet ur Quick Strike doubles my Pummel's dmg with much higher speed and without interrupting melee. My Pummel doesnt suck, rogues are DPS class in ur opinion, not in everyone's opinions, also, even with the improvements I suggested a warrior wont match rogue on dps. If as a rogue u wouldnt be so damn proud u would know that improving other classes is a bonus to u as well, being on top means nothing, most rogues are now so full of themselves since they got insane buff in update 4, forgetting how stronger others were in older updates.

Dps is a role.....

Have you even played rogue? They do have a few damage skills but you rated some skills at 5 that are useless. Like poison weapon. No rogue in their right mind would use that skill since the rogue nerf. Shadow strike is useful for leveling but almost completely useless at bosses because it misses so much and they damage was nurfed way to much. You want Rangers to outdps rogues. In my clan the kills are pretty even mages Rangers and rogues get kills but rogues and mages should be primary dps because that is their role. Rangers do really good damage too but they are jack of all trades masters of none. I do agree Rangers need a buff but not damage. They need a buff to make them jack of all trades again. Lightheal isn't good enough for high level Rangers to use anymore. If Rangers get buffed combined with rogues debuff it will make rogues become secondary dps which defys their use. Rogues are not the best for support anyway. In our clan we use one support rogue and we are good the rest are dps.

Yes in carrow that is the case, but in tower and especially on 3+ star mobs it hits 500 IF your lucky. Ik so many rogues who have dropped the skill all together since tower.

Can reach to over 1k heal + with their paper armour this 2k-3k dmg is nothing. Druids too should have increased dps.

1k heal? what u getting these stats from maybe with a full Dex build full lifesteal gear not focused on any other skill u might have a 1k dmg lifesteal in tower but will still only heal about half of that to you

There are 4 rogues in my clan that will lifesteal between 800 to 1.2k regularly in tower. It is unusual if they don't hit these numbers.

It feels more like jack of no trades. What level is your ranger again? We need SKILL damage buffs, because currently no end game rangers use ANY of the damage skills. Coincidence?

I agree with this. There is such a lack of usable skills for rangers compared to other classes, and certainly no damage skills that are worth putting points into. The only good build for a ranger is pure strength, armor with damage bonuses, and just auto attack. Yet if you look at the thaumaturgic ranger armor you see the stats dex/focus. If you look at the thaumaturgic bow it is slow; about as slow as the despoiler bow. Most jewelry has +ranged combat stats when what would be useful is +bow stats. It seems like OTM is trying to push rangers to be skill based, without actually giving them any worthwhile skills. But we have bolas so that makes everything even

My thread was made 5-6 months ago, and took a great deal of time and effort. I don't post nonesense, at least I try not to, and everything I stated I gave a justification right next to it.

Whatever the case may be, my position evolved throughout the thread and I highlited possible class balancing changes that could be made (i.e. Talent trees, and DPS over time vs DPS at an instant) as well as current DL armour/weapon and skill changes.

Except OTM doesn't really care, so we're SOL.

I also did not say rangers should outdps a rogue. My post basically amounted to saying that rangers severely lack the skill pool to accompagny a strength build and used the rogue as a comparing factor to highlight this problem.

I also did say that rangers mages and warriors should outdps a rogue in the crucial first minutes of a fight, and then rogues should get the upper hand. But that is stuff of imagination, I doubt it will ever make its way to the game.

Then ranger i play on is level 190 and it has full dl including weps at every necro fight so far the ranger group has won the lock due to dl quivers skill and the Rangers high auto dps over there rogue counterparts when rogues don't have ss this goes to show that if u take away rogues top skill we become secondary dps and who the *** wants to be a rogue if we aren't even top dps
