So how is your server distributing event loots?

#1
After reading smellyunder's post i realise there is a huge difference at how people treat event drops to their members.

In the dominating clan in sulis they have this high handed way of distribution loots IN SETS ONLY and to given to a player who some guardian favors and thinks has the merit...
By MERIT of course they taking into account not your participation in event bosses where u roll and all, but how much time u spent potato couching, nolifing and loafing around  ( cause there are lots of jobless peeps in that clan that have the time to spend over 6-8 hrs camping online no joke).
There is no DKP on these items.

So IF this ONe douchebag guardian in that clan decides youve not been camping dl enough and dedicationg half your life to CH  , then you not gonna get any event drop. So how does this make it fair if the prerogative of choosing is given to a small group of people and not done on basis of absolute fairness, TOTALLY RUINING the fun of that event for others.

Last summer event they had the same high handed way of distributing events helms and sunfire dmg charms to pals and friends. The list of drops is kept obscure and only the guardians who have accesss to these can enjoy at will on their alts or any other.

ill pass on the loots for lvl 100 and 50 boss loots. They being mercilessly camped by the dominating clans lvl 195+ rogues for their personal purpose or feeder clan. :?

FUN WHAT FUN?

I would like to know how your clan is managing event drops. 8-)

We distribute in sets as well. But we also loan out to members the good pieces like Bladeleaf Ring for tanks, until we complete a bladeleaf set. We use an Event points system to track attendance and its posted on our website for everyone to see where they stand.

Danu has an interesting way to do this. If no one has a drop, we just roll if you are the right class, lvl requirement, and would use immediately. Once you have a piece, you can only roll on that set. But, if you don't like the set u got, u can turn it into the bank or swap all ur items of that set with another player for a different set. Once you turn it into bank, if someone wants it that is at that boss fight, they can roll on it. Once you don't have any items, you can roll on a new set.

Note: you can only roll on one drop per boss fight.

I think this is exactly how we are doing it on Arawn. But if you have 2/3 of a set, you automatically get the 3rd piece if it drops without having to roll. If you have a set, you cannot roll on a new one, unless you want to change sets and in that case you need to turn your old one back in. All unused drops go to the bank to finish sets or to be given out at the completion of the event to alts.

Your on Sulis? What's ur ign? I think there should be dkp on the high level ones like on Garanak and Comrak, but for the lower tier ones, clannies should be able to roll for them...

InnerCircle has a point system and regular auction for all raid boss items.
Rolling dice never seems to benefit the clan the best. Often peeps win stuff they really don't want.

So our leaders collect all items and we take attendance with screen shots of those participating.
1-5 points is earned for attending a boss fight. These points are then used to bid on auctions.
Then once or twice a week we put up an auction for members to bid on available items.
Largest bid wins, but he/she pays the bid of the second place bidder.

This takes some effort but the rewards are awesome! :)

So if person A bids 10 points, what's stopping person B from bidding his max points, say 500?

If no one else bids over 500, then person B gets the item for 10 pts, but if someone outbids him, then they pay an obscene amount of points.

Or is it an anonymous bid?

If only the 3rd piece was automatic lol. If it was I'd have my full set :) . Also, our problem is it is rare for a Gen to log on bank to get out items.

You got it right. Highest bid wins, second highest bid sets the price.
We have some other items we use to tweak it a bit.
