What happens to CH when...

What happens to Celtic Heroes when warhammer odyssey comes out? A percentage of CH players will switch over, this is known. I suggest the Devs to shrink the size of the servers so this game doesn’t come off dead to new players, forcing them to leave.(YES, I understand different servers have different prices etc, but either shrink # of servers (combine) OR more that 80% of the servers look even more dead than they already are) Warhammer will take a lot of CH players!!!

I predict a lot of xfers cross games. If do this, I recomend doing a lot of small values than trading everything, so if someone try scam they scam only a little.

My guess is that the percentage of players who completely quit CH to go to WH:O is going to be quite small. Yes, I'm sure quite a few people will want to check it out, but I don't think it's going to be as massive of a move as you seem to be expecting. The two games do seem like they are going to be quite different after all, and WH:O may not appeal as much to CH players - if not in lore and storyline aspect, than perhaps in just general gameplay.

As for cross game transfers - those are not allowed, so please don't bring them up here on the forums.

Not sure, when Nuada began it had a huge flood of players. Obviously people are going to play the new game just to try it out too, new is exciting. Especially when there's hardly anything "New" for long periods of time.

For me I would feel excited because I get to be the first group of people to play the game and eventually become once again one of those cool people who say "Oh I was here day 1".

Did I mention its going to be completely full of new content?

If they make it dramatically similar to Celtic Heroes gameplay, people might move just because they're bored to death. I sure know I am.

Guess I’m in the minority who won’t even consider touching Warhammer.

I don’t see a reason to trust that the devs will run it any better than CH has been run. There are several fixable problems with CH that go ignored (and have since before we knew of WH development), and server issues continue to plague the game. It’s like they e completely ignored CH from the beginning, of why even bother taking it over?

For gods sakes it still says One Thumb Mobile when you load the game. That lack of attention to detail and what seems like general apathy toward the real wants and needs of the player base make me not want to invest my time, energy and finances into another VR product and kind of makes me regret having done that with CH.

I imagine VR, or maybe even OTM as well have been in contact with Games Workshop for a while now. Stuff like acquiring the IP and rights to create a Warhammer game don’t happen overnight, it’s probably been a plan for years now. For all we know the owner of OTM probably migrated over to VR with Warhammer already in mind, and development has been underway long before they announced it.

I’m certain they’re very passionate about Warhammer: Odyssey. Passion that was lost a long long time ago with CH, as the game clearly never had a sense of direction since the way beginning.

Pretty sure that's because One Thumb Mobile is still the company that "owns" or produces Celtic Heroes - Virtual Realms just handles the development.

I think when Warhammer Odyssey comes out people will start to play old school RuneScape mobile instead of supporting a company that is a failure. at least RuneScape updates their games on a regular basis whereas Celtic heroes is not. They have no passion and what they make and they are just going to try to make money rather than make a good game.

VR is not a failure...at least not yet. Celtic Heroes hasn't had a content update in a year, because the dev team is small and working on another game - that's not a failure. You may personally feel like VR failed CH, but that doesn't mean that the company itself is a failure. They aren't working on CH right now because they are trying to make a good game - CH is already made.

O please. I TRIED playing old school runescape again after so many years and I for sure did not last long. Graphics have done a number on it last time I remember.
