Re: Drogonlord Boss Policies

Hey Ak. Well written as usual. I guess I can put in my two cents.

Multiple drops. Im perfectly fine with someone getting multiple drops if it helps them get geared faster. Like alot have been saying, we can start going with drops we receive once more people are geared and the fights become easier. Profit can be made other ways in this game aside from just dragon drops.

Alts. I completely agree with you on this subject. Alts should only be brought along and given permission to dice if they're necessary. It's great that you can dual device but just assuming you can bring your alt and have them dice even though they weren't needed is not ok to me. You should ask first if you need to bring your alt. If they are unneeded then its up to you if you want to go ahead and bring them to help with the fight but you shouldn't just expect that they'll be able to dice. I don't want to see the same thing happen that happened to us druids at aggy pre-update. People would just bring theyre druid alts along whether or not they were needed at an aggy fight just for the chance to dice for druid drops making it more difficult for the druid mains to get equipped. I remember being at aggy fights with like 11-12 druids all dicing for one drop. Alts should only be brought if they are needed.

Druid level req. This is one of the only things i disagree on. I'm personally, and would like to hear other end game druids opinions, all for increasing the druid level requirement to 140 to 150 plus. My reasoning behind this is if we are trying to get everyone's main equipped in dragon it's gonna put us high level druids at a disadvantage with our drops spread out across lower leveled druids keeping the ones that have put in alot of effort leveling to high levels still needing drops. Myself as an example, I'm currently the highest level druid in lugh at 167 and even though I've been to my share of these boss fights I'm currently only in possession of one green gem. Had an egg also but passed it to spigot so he could complete his gloves. Given the green drops that we've been getting off these bosses we should have more druids in dragon gear but alas we don't. We should be rewarding the druids that have put in the effort to get to high levels. Otherwise whats the point of leveling past 120? I feel like this will reward the ones that have put in the work to level and encourage others to level up. As you have pointed out, now that we are typically bolas walking bosses we don't need as many druids. If it does come down to the fact that we NEED more heals, then we can look at bringing in lower druids to help.

Just a couple of my opinions on this subject. Thanks for reading.

I don't think you have to worry too much about lower level druids coming too often. I came to a few when first invited, not understanding what these bosses dropped. I'm betting they go to 120s and 130s when they have no better options, but if you aren't going for the armor yet, these fights aren't a good bet for most of us at this level.

I agree max with the increase in druid level. Thats what I've been saying since aggy. My only concern with a toon getting one drop is that it puts druids and warriors at a disadvantage when it comes to dicing drops. Low level alts in fights lower the chance for end game players to complete their armour quest.

No Ak, not angry, just the same conversations over and over again. While the boss drop rules are needed to keep order and confusion out of the game play, certain classes are put at a disadvantage when dicing. Like max stated above, the level for druids needs to be increased. I understand that a level 115-120 can put all points into heal and blast out greater than 1,000 heal on some one. I would say it would take you less than a week to develop an alt druid that can do this. Kind of depressing for the higher level main druids. The solution, sense one was asked for, increase druid level requirement or allow druids and warriors to dice for non class drops, not for profit but for trade for items that they need. Im still confused why most end players still fail to recognize that the dicing rules dont add up to some classes.

I personally think that it should be 150+ for all dragon lot bosses since below that you can't even use the drop. The only reason i bring my alt along is because we simply do not have enough druids to be picking and choosing and need to allow some lower levels to join so that doing the boss is even possible. As I write this now there are a total of 0 druids over 150 online and it stays that way for long bursts throughout the day. Lately I have been levelling my druid with my rogue to get her to at least 150 so it will be more fair to everyone and I hope we can get more active druids over to 150+ as well.

Interesting to hear that druids want the level to be 150+ - i would think getting involved earlier would be considered an advantage. quite frankly, i think it would be pretty hard, at this point, to have that guideline.

However, i really like max's idea - druids below 150 get one roll for green stuff, druids above 150 get two. Perhaps the same with mages - though i don't they are an issue.

Further, alts are only permitted is the groups says OK cause they need them. However, i think in those cases they should be treated as full members (like they were a separate player) - but that is something we can discuss. Obviously if someone wants to bring their alt just to help speed things up, that is fine, but they get no dicing privileges unless they have the groups (prior) consent. Adopting this rule would simplify a lot of things I think.

so, by giving high level druids better odds and only allowing alts to come if they are 'pre-approved' - would this make for a fairer system? BTW: i suppose if a person has two toons that are of proper level, they can choose which one is the alt and needs approval.

With the updated requirement levels, you don't get full frozen until lvl 135, so lower level druids are likely still going after items for that quest and don't need the drops from the tunnel bosses. 150 seems so far away, with a possibility that there might be something else available by the time we get there, that many might not see that early advantage to getting dragon armor drops.

Just my 2 cents, but it might make sense to make a higher level druid requirement for drops, like maybe 140 or 145, and provide lower level druids who routinely help with these bosses (because the higher levels aren't available at the time) with items they need for the frozen armor quest. Or at least go out of your way to help them when the bosses are up that drop the items they need.

A druid is one of the most useful but there isn't a surplus of them over 150 so we go for the lower levels. A druid's nature touch and other skills are very much useful at the point they reach 120(30/30 skills) so that's why they are normally allowed. Like I said min requirement for these bosses I believe should be 150 but we should get tere over time since we can't pick and choose out of a herd of druids when nearly none are online at a time. Right now 130, couple weeks 140, and some time after that we set it to 150.
