If you put in work for the clan, you deserve drops to call your own. Dom clans will usually try to say something along the lines of the bosses were killed by the group, not you. You are part of the group though, and you likely did the same amount of work as any other person at the fights you attend...

Dom clan servers tend to be a problem in this game (unless you're happy to join that clan) because of the basic design of the game. Everything is open world. All your armor quests rely on bosses that are wide open for anyone to kill and stop you from being able to kill it. If these bosses are camped...

Don't worry too much about not finishing that armor set. You will out level it pretty quickly anyway. Concentrate more on getting your warden armor. I forget when those armor quests unlock but if you're in Stonevale then you should be getting close to it.
