I use both. My experience with swarm is that it doesn't have a very large range. If it grabs aggro from another enemy it is because they are very close together. But beside that I would still pick vines over bees if you had to choose simply because of high energy costs on bees.

Only problem with just using touch and no embrace is it will get interrupted way too much esp if you only have 5 dex. I like using both embrace and touch so that I can continue to regen slowly if my touch gets unterrupted and embrace is less interruptible than touch.
