How to be a guide?

#1
How do we become a forum guide? I've been playing this game for many years and while I still find myself learning something new ever now and again, I found myself in a mentoring position for a few players on Crom while I still played there, and even on Epona just being there shortly I have already mentored a couple more players off the bat, telling them some niche ways to do things, or aquire things, ect. From what I've read in the Guide description, is being a mentor and sharing knowledge part of it? I feel as though I am qualified for that so I can bring more of my ingame knowledge and mentorship into the forums part of it.

The guides currently have no purpose.

If someone needs help in a thread, you can reply to them regardless if your name is a shiny blue or not.
Yeah but having a blue name holds value to me, sort of like a promote.

Its useless, it was made out to be important but I always thought it was done badly and nothing more than a shiny name. If ppl want to help each other, their name doesnt need to be in blue.

It shouldn't lol, then you're doing it for the shiny name rather than to help people..

I've always been a helpful person regardless of any title. But if I'm noticed as one, I'm betting people will reach out to me

There's a reason I applied for mod and not for guide(though its kind of ironic that 2 guides were made into mods).

Just because someone has a blue, green, or red name doesn't mean they are better at the game then anyone else. It is merely flair, vanity, and why I don't like the guide position.
World - Lugh
Furyion - 192 Ice Mage
Stonelord - 100 PvP Warrior
Lavalord - 60 PvP Warrior
Keepin' it old school.

It more sounds like you’re using this to become a guide

If you want so bad show that you’re helpful. I for one haven’t seen it

The title holds 0 value other than the fact you get seen as smart. even though everyone else can do what you do. Imo it’s pointless to have prob needs removal
