Is this 100% confirmed? If so then warriors with viable dps has just taken a massive hit as they now need a void gele axe ;(
Correct me if Im wrong but the highest dps warriors are axe warriors. As well as all the highest dps gear is axe gear (fate rings, havoc braces, now bt rings). I dont think u need to have specifically void, as even with shadow, all the gear surrounding axes is considerably stronger, more and more as sword warriors rely on pure attack (prot braces, lack of dmg so stacking on attack, which also has diminishing returns) and we get stronger gear, and axe is more pure dmg with addition of high attack (havoc braces are crazy dmg, while not much less attack), fate rings (higher dmg + higher attack than death rings) or now bt rings (str dex axes pummel?) which also means axe gear is better for skill damage overall. What else str gets more effective on axes (higher physical dmg = str is more effective) and frenzy is too more effective on axes (higher physical dmg = higher dmg boost due frenzy being percental). What else axe is a bit more elemental dmg, as axe itself adds heat/cold/magic (but magic for tanks), havocs add magic... Err I guess thats basically all the elemental dmg thats limited to axes. But I think its good, variety has a large issue because as u see mordy drops spears, necro swords and gele drops axes (and aggy dropped spears) which forces us to constantly change to the better weapon and thus change our entire gear. Thats a big issue because then a warrior like me already with 2 havocs + 3 fate rings needs to suddenly go for a spear again and somehow get eternal rest rings (or whatever new rings come) + new braces and so on. What OTM did is not give a new weapon but continue the axe line, so theres no split of gear between two weapons as loot tables OVERALL dont offer enough gear for both, and to have more than 1 viable weapon at endgame per class (as in spear/dagger, sword/axe, so on) u need to revamp the loot tables.
