Also do warriors need regens?

Yes. You can skip the Level 100 shop and wait until Level 150 to purchase the Level 150 axe.

If you feel like you're dying too much, either putting more points into Vit or buying regens will help. Regens aren't really a necessity in my opinion, unless, of course, you need them to survive.
