I'm extreme noob, so bear with me. I've heard some people talk about a skill they refer to as "Spikes". Could anyone tell me what this is, whereI could get it?

Blue book cover and bindings and the pages (forget name) are for defensive spikes , it's basically an aoe cloak spell that is piercing damage .

I might have misspelled it lol, but the pages are Drogen, or some such.

I'm still not sure I want this, as my play style is Bolas/Str based.

Depending on play style defensive spikes can be an extremely useful spell. As far as it being as effective as mage's cloak it does not do as much damage but that is mostly due to all mages having a maxed fire lure to go with it.

My biggest issue with defensive spikes is the spell does not last long enough, I am hoping that otm will recognize this and adjust it at some point.

yes it depends on ur style, im 560 dex with gear and when i train i dont use bolas cuz they miss a lot and my heal is 625 so spikes really helps my dps i also have grand ring of spikes. it is bout 15 secs faster to kill than bolasing it.

I thinks effective as an AoE cloak then a cloak on yourself. For example ur at boss and you cast spikes, it can be cast on anyone (in group) and affects anyone in X metres

Defencive spikes has a cool animation but terrible dmg I am lv 132 have 400 dex the skill is dex based for dmg points were at 34/30 and still the base dmg was only 100 every 5 sec and against an enemy around my lv about 40 dmg every 5 sec even maxed at my lv it's like having a lv 60 noob follow u atk every 5 sec
