If I remember correctly I saw Lady Wonder do something similar to that. She has Gele Rings.

What is that carrot thing on your effects bar? Is that some sort of fancy spell boosting potion. But your damage is so unreal...

Mages need to ear carrots to be able to cast skills. That "carrot thing" means he has eaten enough carrots.
