PlayerOne's guide to a successful mage with no energy probs

#1
So first we shall say this is kind of expensive if you wanna do it the exact same ...

My build at 120 is 163 vitality and 400 focus or something like that

Skills set up as
26/30 fire bolt (max ASAP)
25/30 firestorm (max after maxed fire bolt)
25/30 fire atunement ( max asap [32 with rings])
25/30 e boost (put more points into it when you notice you can't stay stable on energy)
7/30 e shield (put in points on occasion)
15/30 lure of fire (keep this way till 140)

Now my gear
Idol of illusions (350k )
Heroic ammy (200k)
Revenant bracelet of invitalisation (100k)
Revenant bracelet of invigoration (100k)
Heroic boots (150k)
Heroic gloves (150k) -- not really needed. Could replace with spirit shadow
Golden crown of energisation (150k)
Revenant ring of health (25k)
+3 fire bolt ring
+7 combined fire atune rings
Battle mist opal gown and skirt
Master wand of secrets

Now how I level is i group with a tank ... He can taunt them so you won't die... Never use a combo elixir (all you mages should know that)..

When you hit 120 start saving up 90k for adamant cane and elixirs to hit 132 for onyx and obsidian armor because its excellent for mages (when you get that sell your opal or diamond)

For leveling areas
1-5 lirs reach
5-17 crook back
18-24 dustwither
24-50 shalemont
50-76 stonevale
76-98 eyes
99-108 lower trees and kelpies
109-117 all trees 114+
118-120 shadow wraiths
120-127 blackstones (avoid warrior ones due to cleave it will kill you really easy trust me lol)
128 -140 wyverns
141-155 firbolg
156-170? Trolls

This is all i can tell you for now until i gain more knowledge ..
This is a group leveling build by the way.
Name - 5000 (5k)
Class - ranger
Lvl - 76+
Clan BadaBing

I am the Almighty PlayerOne from Crom, I quit there but this is merely just for my friends!

Why is there the need for hate?

I really don’t understand how you can survive on an eshield of 7/30 and vitality of 163. I also have over 1k energy sigils and something like 500 health sigils.

I’m a level 170 mage with 300 vitality rest in focus (total of over 1200). I have firebolt 41/35 eshield 40/35, firestorm 39/35, fire attune 40/35. One star mobs are easy, two star mobs (especially the firbolg archers) normally destroy my shield, and I have to time my shield against 3 star firbolg so that I can cast it twice. Evades are a huge problem. My vitality doesn’t really sustain my mage either. Against the trolls, I can still be one hit killed if I don’t have a shield up.

My conclusion is, if you want to have any chance of soloing successfully in this game as a mage, you need all the best items (and I still have loads of more room for improvement) and loads of health and energy sigils. If you can’t do that, then it is incredibly painful experience to be a mage.
