Honestly surprised this thread was never locked... this is an actual debate, no matter what side you think is right, there is another side here, and if you can’t see that, you probably shouldn’t chime in until you do. Part of any discussion (and yes, I am suggesting that debates/arguments should function as a discussion in that the end goal is not to be right but to arrive at a conclusion) is first understanding where the other side is coming from and engaging their position.
