Gwyd:
-) BT - killed day of spawn, trying to consistently kill within 5 hours of spawn
-) gele - killed on spawn (usually within 30 minutes of spawn we start)
-) prot - lock battle, killed on spawn
-) necro - lock battles, killed on spawn
-) mordy - lock fights, killed on spawn
-) hrung - lock fights sometimes, killed on spawn

Dg not given out by sets (other than morgs set, but that’s cuz morg is da bomb). Dg given out piece by piece.

At the moment we could probably kill BT on spawn but choose not to so we can allow people an Opportunity to attend. At reset yesterday we had 42 on for gele would have been enough to kill BT but then it would lose its appeal to others because they wouldn’t get an opportunity for drops.

DG is strategically given and spread out to help make sure we constantly have an increased amount of strength on the server at any given time. We don’t have to worry about a loss of months of work because a set of DG retires. If someone quits we might loose 7-9 pures depending on how active that person had been over the last year, something we can usually replace in 2.5 weeks off gele alone.

Both clans show up to Prot Lock battles in heavily doch geared rangers.
Amazing, all bosses can be killed on spawn, especially on gele for faster farming of pures. And to make this work, the distribution of DG across all time. The best one ive heard so far.
Gwydion is an interesting server. It’s definitely not the biggest population wise, Epona and arawn win that title easily. On top of that the server isn’t super crazy about enforcing strict bossing activity requirements, it’s really laid back, feels like an actual game and not a lifestyle. But even with that the server is really competitive without any griefing or trash talk. Although it’s not the biggest everyone comes together and is super organized, with everyone optimizing their toons (yes, a lot of people here do multilog, but it’s in no way “expected”) to achieve really cool feats.
Not to mention the people here are incredibly nice.
The economy is sluggish and sometimes it’s difficult to find what you are looking for, but like life this game has its trade offs.

Idk if gwyd is the “best” per say, because everyone has different criteria for what makes a server the best for them, but gwyd definitely is unique.
Feel free to pm me about anything or talk to me in game :D

Taranis: last month all the wars finally came to an end and the entire server started killing raids as one, everything killed at least a day after spawn, and with preparations for our first BT kill. This month a section of ~15 players didn't like the way "Taranis United" was heading/managed -- immature leaders, mob mentality, single-device-centric poll results, lack of competition, randomness over accomplishment, etc -- so they openly declared "We're bringing competition back" ... Will likely set us back on BT months to a year depending on whether they sustain competition and gain support.

Gwydion had a dark period of griefing and ugliness that stemmed from greed. The greed is still present so that same darkness can engulf the server once more.

Yes there are some nice people but Gwydion has its fair share of darker people, most of us wear masks when it’s convenient, just like in reality and other servers I suppose. There’s lots of behind the scenes stuff because of the point below, nastiness over gear, jealousy, drama etc, it all exists, so by no means it’s a utopian server.

The server has also been too quiet for the past four years on forums and in game. Some tend to live in shells and not express themselves freely, even in clans, times where you won’t recieve responses which defeats the purpose of this MMO. I’ve always found this surprising because it doesn’t make sense for people to be playing this barren game that’s updated every two years if they’re not going to enjoy each other’s company.

Gwydion also lacks leaders. People willing to step up and know what they’re doing because most of the people would rather be in their shells and are too scared to speak up.

On the other hand we've been blessed with people wanting to learn. Majority of the classes know how to play correctly, and most of the single log DPS have began adopting hot swapping. You will rarely see a Skain bladeleaf or storm set on any of the melee classes in top clans for example.

Gwydion killing Bloodthorn regularly and helping other servers by creating a strategic guide shows that the server has a bright future. Now only time will tell where we go from here.

Rosmerta:
For the longest time, clan Forever dominated Rosmerta. I mean, for YEARS Rosmerta was dominated.

Just recently, uprisings caused lots of competition, and a new clan Reality, setting Forever back on Bloodthorn. We kill all bosses on spawn up to Gele. Gelebron is super organized and a clean kill.

The biggest update, is clan Forever recently tried Bloodthorn, and we are so close! We have the strategy down, we have the power and we are growing stronger by the day. Just yesterday we managed to get Bloodthorns health to 10%! Outstanding is the best word to describe it. We are refining / tweaking our strategies once more.

Our gardens are still corrupted by Bloodthorn, but soon Forever will put an end to the dark energy that radiates from within.
