I think that's what you meant.

You actually don't need to choose. Meteoric gear allows you to keep your wardern gear. So you can continue to wear it or you can choose to add meteoric pieces and decide for yourself.

However, that is NOT the same for frozen gear. Frozen replaces meteoric and once you get one piece your meteoric aura is gone. Think ahead of time whether you want to upgrade your meteoric gear to frozen when you get there.

I'd say just get all the pieces you can, like Xanadu said, because they don't replace your warden. However, don't get your first frozen piece unless you want to break your aura or have all the pieces for full frozen.
