Paladin is from the christs. I don't know if they want to add it since it will disrupt their Celtic formation. :|

The paladins, sometimes known as the Twelve Peers, were the foremost warriors of Charlemagne's court, according to the literary cycle known as the Matter of France. They first appear in the early chansons de geste such as The Song of Roland, where they represent Christian martial valor against the Saracen hordes. The paladins and their associated exploits are largely later fictional inventions, with some basis on historical Frankish retainers of the 8th century and events such as the Battle of Roncevaux Pass and the confrontation of the Frankish Empire with Umayyad Al-Andalus in the Marca Hispanica. :ugeek: ( do you understand? )

in every MMO that i have played, if they have paladins, they barrow powers from the "gods" in order to aid them in battle. That is always their description. Now how would paladins obtain power from "gods" if they believe in ONE God?
It's actually very simple. People don't always read everything, and/or like to add to descriptions to make things more interesting. In this case Paladins use Holy power, it is not often mentioned who or whom it came from. Ex: many Knights of the old feudal system were supposed to be noble rulers and warriors, but many were considered tyrants who only cared about their assets-not their servants. Why would a video game or movie want to portray a supposedly noble Knight as they actually were? It wouldn't fit the mold they want.

Hey thanks for the ideas - I am wondering what you think if instead of adding more classes we allowed classes to specialise in different areas with various trainers - so you could choose to take your warrior and train them to become a paladin or other types.

Would that be OK or would you prefer more classes?

I think it's ok. But can you still switch types afterwards at a specific spot?

If you are Knight-Paladin and you need to be another type that if you have done specific quests that you talk to someone and he can switch your specialization?

Take your Druid/Mage/warrior/ranger/rogue and train them to become Magician/Paladin/Archer/( what could rogue be trained into?)!
