Well dino was left with no Mlure 5-10 seconds at a time multiple times throughout the raid and I think it was the same for slash. Don’t remember all too well because it was back in the beginning of June. Sure you can have a good mage be the only one casting lure, but if those lures evade twice in a row (happens a lot on dino I’m sure) and then other mages get evaded because they’re panicking trying to keep lure up (if they even have lures like mlure or slash lure maxed) you end up gaining a bigger dps loss. Lure spam has a much greater chance of keeping lure on the boss. Plus that mage could be teleported away or be stuck on curse and by the time they get back into the fight the lure duration will be almost up and then they try to cast and it gets evaded leading to panic because they’ll be no lure...

Obvious that fire/ice get spammed, just look at how often the lure timer on dino gets reset to full, atleast on Epona it’s what I’ve noticed. Epona’s killed dino, your server hasn’t so yeah. As for me on that raid, my mlure was overwritten multiple times as I only casted it when it wasn’t up and some other mage was trying to spam it. Since mine was 40/50 I couldn’t overwrite the 50/50 mlures.

Yeah might have been more beneficial back when some older bosses provided an actual challenge, but I’m sure every server is beyond that point of needing the perfect lure up at all times. Especially as more and more good bt loot and dg sets get thrown into the server. Dino is in a much different position than those bosses ever were in, and I think lure spam would work better.

I’m not sure what you’re getting at here because there were 3 pages of 220+ players (or almost 3 pages) so well above the 30 limit with a few spectators. I doubt I had any impact on the teleporting (I was actually teleported come to think of it, meaning I was teleported over a 220 player. Seems beneficial to me).

I have not tried dino on such a large scale of 75~ people, but when we had 40 at dino on my server and my mage got teleported once I literally saw 6 other people going to the ley with me to run back to dino, with some others that were ahead of us, so i assume dino tries to make it 30 ppl or less at the battle field at all times.
There are times where u saved someone from getting teleported, but there are surely times where someone got teleported because of u.

75 man attempt sounds like a zerg attempt so im not really gonna comment on the effect of tp on it, but on most other servers, they usually cannot allow a single person above the 30 man limit, or else a key class might get teleported and with a raid as fragile as dino, it can easily cause a wipe or make the raid way more difficult.

Which sux cause some servers are heated with competition between 2 clans or more and on other servers people just wanna watch and refuse to leave.
Even if u deal with these 2 issues, how can u call this an open world game with a mechanic like TP that is forcing all worlds, even Epona, to limit their numbers to 30 while everyone else is not allowed to participate. This to me sounds like a dungeon but the clan/alliance/what ever organization must do the limitation and get hated for cutting some players off, and sometimes creating drama , cuz there is technically no way to prevent a person from entering the raid area.

Idk what you guys are on about. Dino is perfect, according to the devs. Nothing wrong with it at all. The glitches, all intentional, the RNG, intentional. You wanna kill the boss just get gud. All you gotta get is good gear, have you tried having everyone wear full DG and all godlies? It should be easy with all that, also don't forget to be lvl220. Get gud everybody this boss is perfect.

I wanted to share what Difinitus suggested for successful Dino raid. For those who missed it here you go. I hope more servers will kill it soon.

Difinitus wrote:Dhiothu is an end-game progression boss. She is difficult, but able to be defeated.

Here are a few suggestions if you are having trouble slaying the beast:

• Adjust your strategy - Seek advice from other heroes who defeated the dragon.
• Increase your level - She was designed for players around 220.
• Equip better gear - End game raid gear is a must.
Keep trying - Become an expert at the mechanics and learn how to avoid them.

Can we add a level 220 key quest to enter the dhino area please. This is to prevent 180 mage nub to enter the area and grief the raid, the boss is already hard.

Looking at the raid as a whole I think the main problem doesn’t lie in the teleporting but the effect negative energy. It simply opens the doors to too much griefing and various other problems like getting hit by an orb in the middle of casting a skill. I like the idea of having it being very punishing but there are better ways to go about it.

One idea that would work is make use of the effect name “negative energy”. When you look at that you’ll think “oh so it has something to do with energy”, which it doesn’t. So why not make it so that it does have something to do with energy. When you get touched by an orb instead of gaining an effect that makes you heal the boss, make it so that it drains your energy at a rate that pots cant keep up to, on top of reducing your attack/running speed... literally sucking all energy out of your character. That way it’s equally punishing for both melee/casters.

As for the teleporting problem with unwanted players coming in and ruining a 30 or less player attempt I think only players who have registered a certain amount of aggro on dino should count towards the player amount in regards to the limit. That way people don’t get punished or scolded on for simply standing and watching and lower lvl players who decide to attack won’t be counted towards the limit.

Truth is, griefing will always be an issue no matter what boss it is. Every boss can be griefed whether it’s using calm on tank, dragging adds on mord/hrung, dragging spirits on necro, standing in life steal, longshotting prot while being bolased, dragging sents on gele, or getting aggro on the root at bt... its an open world MMO, it’ll always be a problem.

The main issue with teleporting isn’t really negative energy. People can run back and die to get rid of it easily. The main issue is with tp is the fact that clans are forced to limit the raid to 30 people unless they want issues with TP. A lot of clans have to tell certain people to not show up to dino because in all reality they won’t be as much help as others. That causes issues in the clan. The negative energy aspect of it I personally don’t think is the biggest issue. In most cases where u have 30 or less ppl at dino negative energy isnt gonna be such a huge issue unless orbs are spawning on top of u and stuff like that; ppl are able to avoid orbs/counter neg energy by using restos or dying.
