We got it down to 80% as well.. the teleport imo needs to be removed.. we had offtanks being teleported.. and if our dps warriors get teleported while slash 5* add spawns it’s game over and that happened a few times.. while I enjoy the challenge this is all a bit too much..
That’s what makes the raid fun. It changes things up fast. Things can go from good to bad in an instant without the proper precautions.
What proper precaution can u take with a offtank being teleported? Or all dps that only effects a certain type off add that explodes and wipes everyone with 800k aoe dmg? Please explain how u can prepare for something so random? At the very minimum support should not be teleported from raid at all.. nothing u can do can prepare for that.. an impossible raid is not fun.. challenging raid would be fun impossible raid is nothing but frustrating..
Have back ups. Simple as that. Have another warrior on standby just incase an offtank gets tp’d. I’m not sure how the exact mechanics work but apparently the less you have the better... so have other players stand outside so if one gets tp’d another can go in and replace that player.

Out of curiosity, as I see you play on Epona, what was your personal experience of the raid since the latest patch? Not the kill itself but the testing once the boss became immovable? What class/role did you play on it etc?
I tested in beta multiple times. Haven’t been apart of a live game kill since I’m not eg on Epona yet. It was much worse in beta lol, and I still found it enjoyable even though it seemed to be impossible at the time.

When someone actually with proof kills that boss with 25 toons I’ll buy 100 chests on that server and donate it to them.. (Dino as-is)
Screen shot and saved lol

Would be nice if there were a system where you could register toons for the raid and only those can enter. The raid could have a time limit and during that time no one who isnt registered can enter the raid area and anyone who may already be there is ported out. At the end of the limit of the boss isnt dead the whole party is removed.

To prevent clans trying to monopolize the boss make it so that there is a time limit after the raid where soneone who just participated cant enter. So your party right after cant include anyone who was just in the raid.

I understand not letting the 5* go too far from the boss but i feel like the range is too short on the trolls. Melee cant even attempt to kill without aggroing the dragon.

*unpopular opinion*
I think we should wait at least a week of full testing before we make a verdict it’s too hard.

More likely than not some nerfs will be neeedes in some areas and buffs in others, but jumping to claim X needs a fix, only to find that there is a mechanic around it a few hours later .-.
Meh

Its not hard to just add another 1 or 2 tanks to the raid.
Which defeats the purpose of vr supposedly wanting to limit the amount of toons present. Besides that, how boring is it to be told bring your tank but you prob won't do anything but stare at the screen.

So bring extra toons for just in case when VR is doing everything they can to limit how many toons they feel is appropriate at this boss. And what happens if the back ups get teleported? This could go on indefinitely if toons are needed just in case.
Either it can be killed with 25 or it can't.

If VR wants to micromanage bosses then they should make a guide that tells how many of each class is needed, the exact way to kill it, etc

I'm willing to bet when it's killed next, VR will claim another exploit happen and go recode so it continually gets harder. Nothing is as awesome as being punished for doing a good job.

He asked what precautions, and I gave them to him. Simple solution. By the time the backups get teleported (if they get teleported) the original players will be back.

I don’t mind them making the mechanics more challenging while keeping them fair. I’d rather have that than them going and buffing the hp on everything. Either way, none of this should be happening if proper testing was done

If you find another exploit, that's great. But other than that, don't count on any further changes. We've already seen a few interesting strategies and we haven't nerfed them ;).

So here is my curiosity - you guys created a raid that is supposed to be killed with 25 toons which is refreshing compared to the raids that require 40+ toons. But you've created a situation that punishes/excludes players that want to participate but it reaches over the 25 toon limit. End game players have literally nothing to do but kill raid bosses. The raid should be doable with 25 but if the server can bring 1000 toons they shouldn't be punished for creating a cooperative environment. As it is, players will have to rotate in and out who gets to join the raid. This will create an issue for dkp based clans.

So I applaud you for not making a raid boss that requires a trillion players but it's swung in the opposite direction to where players are now being excluded from enjoying the game content which completely misses the point of what players want

Excellent point.. while making a boss that can be killed with 25 is great (although I never see this boss being killed with 25 let’s be real tbh).. excluding people from raid isn’t a recipe for success in keeping players happy.. we already gotta wait 2-3 days for a boss to spawn now add that with the fact that many people thoeretically would be forced to miss this raid, and in a perfect world would have to wait for their “turn” next spawn to participate.. Bloodthorn was a good challenge at first this raid and future raids should have been similar imo to bt with some mechanics changes to separate them making it unique..
