If you look at the end of the arrow, then you'll see a broken line of where the string really is, it's just so fast that time in the eyes of humans hasn't caught up with it.

That's the third post about that damn arrow.

That isn't where you pull an arrow back to either. You always pull it to your cheek in the same spot. Its so you can sight down the arrow. The picture above is the hand gun equivelant of turning it sideways and tipping the barrel down.

His wrist is off 90 degrees, it looks like he is using a modern trigger and not actually holding the string.

Further the picture where the ranger pulls back the string off center is painful to watch also. You pull it back nearly dead center. Otherwise the arrow would go nuts and go end over end or fall off the string.
