Kinda, they use instances though with chances at drops throughout the instance (dungeon) with a reward for everyone at the end.

Moon, sun, oak, crown, elm and dragon fragments are for warden quest armor. Moon and sun are the easiest of these to obtain and are not worth close to 20k a piece, a lot of people give them away for free actually since theyre so easy to get.

No mobile mmo's do this that I know of, but a few pc ones do. Usually in the form of an actual raid, such as in WoW. Guild wars is another. Then again the frequency at which they can do raids is quite a bit higher than Ch.
